Therapist
Duties and Responsibilities:
Therapists are mental health counselors who helped patients deal with mental disorders. There are different things you can specialize in, some are obsessive compulsive disorders or childhood depression. They let patients talk to them and tell them how they’re feeling and Therapists just help them make their own choices instead of telling them what to do. Therapists help patients make positive changes in their lives, encourage patients to talk, listen, spend a maximum of 20 hours, keep records, referring them to other therapists, and setting confidentiality issues. You may go to patients’ houses instead of them coming to the hospital. Depending on what you specialize in you may talk top either kids or adults of both.

Salary: $51,744- $88,468

Education:
You first have to finish a bachelor’s degree in a college or university. It is for your benefit to become good in psychology or social work. Then you will need your master’s degree where you will get the training to become a licensed therapist. You will take classes in interpersonal, group, family, and child psychology. You also need to complete clinical hours. Finally you get your doctoral degree and this the highest education that a therapist can get. This degree isn’t required, but you will get a doctorate if you want to become a licensed psychologist.

Demand:
Therapist is projected to grow 34% from by 2024, this is actually much faster than other doctors. Therapist are not just doctors who give you advices, but also help with your health, so this is one of the many reasons why it’s growing so much.

Reflection:
In my opinion I find this medical career very interesting and I will actually like to become one. I love giving people advices and listening to what they have to say. I also love help out others by becoming better people. Beside being a teacher, I will also like to be a therapist, I have always love helping people especially children.
