Obedience

When obedience becomes our goal, it is no longer an irritation; instead of a stumbling block, it becomes a building block," said James E. Faust. This quote means the every time you do something wrong you get punished so instead of going up you are going down. Your block becomes a stumbling one because in order for your block to be up and stable you have to go up not down. By doing the wrong thing you are going down the block, so it is falling apart. For example, every time you do what is right you get rewarded and you go up and feel happy. Every time you do something that is wrong you get punished and instead of becoming a better person and you up you become a bad person and go down. Once we get used to obedience we will continue to do it and it won't be a struggle instead you will gladly do it again. This will build your block and make it stronger because you as a person are becoming stronger and better. All the good things in life build us up and all the bad things bring us down and the block represents our life. You do what is wrong you life goes down, you do what is right and your life goes up. This is what the quote means, depending on your decisions you either you up or down. The block is a representation of your life and when it falls down it means that your life is falling apart.
