Health Educator
Duties and Responsibilities:
Health Educators teach patients and the public about how to stay and be healthy. They create programs to encourage health and wellness, and prevent diseases. They help patients make right decisions about their healthy. Health Educators work in public health clinics, schools, colleges, hospitals, or community centers. They have different programs depending on a disease you may have or if you don’t have a disease at all. For example, people with diabetes have a different class than people who just go there to be healthy, but don’t already have a disease.

Salary: $41,380 per year

Education:
In order to be a Health Educators you need a bachelor’s degree at least and some employers prefer if you are a Certified Health Education Specialist. If you are planning on working for the state or federal you may need a master’s degree. Depending on what type of Health Educator you want to be and where you will work in they might ask for different things.

Demand:
The demand is expected to grow 19% by 2022. Since we want health costs to stay down more people are going to classes about Health instead, so they’re increasing.

Reflection:
I love teaching, but I don’t think I will like to become a Health Educator. I am not really interested in Health that much, so I don't think I’ll become one.
