LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse)
Duties and Responsibilities:
LPN are in charge of taking the patient's’ blood pressure, temperature, weight, and height. They also take their medical history and enter it to the computer system. They give injections of medication and give them any medication the doctor prescribed. They also care for a wound the patient might have and immunizations. There are specific duties they do depending on what the patient has. For example, if they are injured then the nurse performs different duties. For example, they will manage the patient’s IV, their food intake and output, and many other things.

Salary: $43,170

Education:
A high school diploma or GED is needed to enroll in a 12 month program at a technical school. During those 12 months they receive knowledge on medication administration, infusion and injection therapy, anatomy and physiology, pharmacology and medication formulas, phlebotomy, and patient care techniques and safety. At the end you have to register to take the National Council Examination for Practical Nurse. Education requirements may vary depending on the state you are in.
Demand:
Nurses have always been on a high demand and as the population grows so will the demand for nurses in the United states.

Reflection:
I wouldn’t like to be a nurse because I honestly do not like going to the doctor and getting shots. The way I see this is, if I don’t like that then why would I do it to someone else if I know that they won’t like it either. I know how it feels and I wouldn’t like others to go through something i don’t like. I see this as, don’t do stuff to others that you don’t like others doing to you.
