“Enthusiasm makes the difference.”
-Dr.Norman Vincent Peale

When something bad happens you feel sad and down, but no matter how bad things are you don’t have to feel sad if you have enthusiasm. When you have enthusiasm you make even the saddest things feel better because you always look at the bright side of everything. The world and its events changes when you have a positive view on life. For example, let’s say you have a lot of homework and you just feel so tired. You can have enthusiasm and make everything feel better because you won’t be thinking about how much you need to get done, but actually about the fun you will have after you finish. Another example is when you live with enthusiasm you live a happier life. People who are always thinking about all the negatives in life will think that only bad things things happened and will give up faster. Now the people who have enthusiasm will think positive and know that after every thunderstorm there is a rainbow. With enthusiasm you will feel like you can do anything and won’t give up until you reach your goals. It has actually been proven that people who have enthusiasm and are happy live a longer and happier life. It is up to you, do you want to live a life full of enthusiasm or sadness.

Most Medical Illustrator have a master’s degree from an accredited graduate program. There are currently three accredited programs in the United States and one in Canada. The courses in these programs are human gross anatomy, physiology, pathology, histology, neuroanatomy, embryology, and surgery. It is very high especially because of the limited amount of medical illustrator that graduate every year. As the growth of medical research increases so does the job for medical illustrators.
Reflection:
I will not like to be a medical illustrator because drawing isn’t my favorite thing. First of all, I don’t know how to draw and in order to be an illustrator you need to be accurate with your design, so they can tell what is wrong. If you draw bad then you aren’t helping anyone.

“I wasn’t trying to leave a legacy. I was trying to do what was right.”
-Dean Smith

Your goal in life shouldn’t be to leave a legacy, something for others to look up to and follow. Your goal should be to always do what is right. Doing what is right is far more important than leaving a legacy according to Mr.Smith. Now in my opinion I think you should leave a legacy behind because that legacy will help people out in the future. I do believe that you should do what is right, but you can leave a legacy of all the good you have done. For example, let’s say you had to make a choice because you might be leaving soon, what will you prefer: leave behind a life where you were known for doing great or were known to do what is right? Honestly, I will want people to remember me for always doing what is right even when times were hard. If you are going to leave a legacy make sure that it is a legacy that you are proud of. One were you did what was right and if you don’t have one like that yet then maybe you should change some things. Your mind should never be set on being great, but on doing the right things all the time. Dean never try to live a life of greatness, but of doing what is right.

“It’s not about how to achieve your dreams. It’s about how to lead your life the RIGHT WAY, the karma (good results, destiny, fortune, good luck) will take care of itself. The dreams will come to you.”
-Dr.Randy Pausch

You don’t have to try so hard to get your dreams to come true because if you live life the right way than your dreams will come to you. If you live life the way you should then only good things will come your way. You don’t have to worry about this happening or someone doing this to you because when you live life the right way then you will never hurt anyone and they won’t hurt you back. For example, when you do something bad you are worry that something might happen like your parents finding out, but when you don’t do anything wrong then you don’t have to worry about the consequences. Life won’t have anything to come back at you because you have played all your cards the right way. You will live your life expecting good things because that’s what you give in return. Don’t get your hopes up too much though and think that if you do everything right that nothing bad will happen because it isn’t like that. Life has many surprises and when you least expect it, it will strike. Doing what is right just assures you that less bad things will happen, it doesn’t mean it will NEVER happen. Just live life simply so others may simply live.

“Make Your Passion Your Profession”

I have a lot of passions, but my top three are reading, watching TV shows, and teaching. This is a passion of mine just because I mean there isn’t a specific reason I just enjoy doing these stuff. I have always liked reading because every time I open a book I’m transported into the characters’ world and the same thing goes for TV shows. I have always enjoyed teaching and help others out with homework and I enjoy being with kids especially if they are small. I can make these passions my profession by either becoming a scriptwriter (not just books, but TV shows as well), an actress, or teacher (not just school teacher, but maybe an acting teacher). Education required for a scriptwriter are some college contests or program, but they aren’t required. Skills required are creativity and the ability to communicate a story to the audience. Determination, self-motivation, and persistence. For actress you should consist taking acting class, but no education is actually required. Skills are being confident, being able to show your emotions, and be creative. For teacher I need at least a four years at college, depending on what type of teacher you want to be. Skills are confidence, liking class, and knowing what you are teaching.

“Of all the work that is done or that can be done for our country, the greatest is that of the body, the mind, and above all character, giving spiritual and moral training to those who in a few years are themselves to decide the destinies of the nation.”
-Theodore Roosevelt

The best thing we can do is educate the new generation because soon they will be the ones leading this world. We have to educate them not only for their mind, but their body and character as well. Character being the most important because what is the point of being the smartest person if you don’t know how to act around others. There isn’t a job out there that doesn’t require you to talk to others, at least I don’t know of any. You have to teach them the importance of always doing what is right even in hard situation. They need to know because soon the will make hard decisions for this country and we need to make sure they know what is the best choice and how to find it. For example, if they don’t know the moral of doing what is right they might even up making the wrong decision in the future that will lead this country to go down and end. It isn’t just necessary for you to have a great mind if you don’t have a great character to go along with it. This is a very important statement because I feel like adults usually look down at this generation when they shouldn’t because the future is on our hands. You shouldn’t look down at us and treat us like we don’t know what is happening because the life of this country is with us so don’t underestimate us.

Medical Assistant
Duties and Responsibilities:
There are different types of medical assistants, one is the administrative assistant and the other is the one who works at the clinic. Administrative assistant duties are to answer telephone calls, greet patients, updating and filing patients’ medical records, filling out insurance forms, handling correspondence, scheduling appointments, arranging hospitals and laboratory services, and handling billing. The clinical medical assistant duties are taking the patient’s medical history and recording vital signs, explaining treatments, getting patients ready for examination, and assisting the physician when needed. Their duties vary depending on the state they work in.

Salary: $15-$17 per hour, but this vary depending on many factors

Education:
You usually need a high school diploma or something equal to it. Most employers prefer that the soon to be medical assistant has been in formal programs in medical assisting. They don’t need a license, but depending on the state they have to take an exam or a course to be able to perform certain things like x-rays. For better chances you should have taken and passed an exam given by the national examination. You should have manners and be able to speak in front of others since your job requires that.

Demand:
Predicted to grow by 23% from 2014-2024. As the population increases the demand for medical assistants will increase as well.

Reflection:
I like typing and writing and in this job it looks like you do it a lot, so out of 10 I will give this a 5. It seems like a job I’ll like, but I don’t think I will actually do it because I don’t like everything about this medical career. I do think it is an important job and I honestly hope that many people like it since we need a lot of them.

“Take responsibility for YOUR OWN body, mind, and spirit, for your own physical, mental, and spiritual well-being.”
-Mr. C.S. Haymore

This statement means that we have to take care of ourselves because in the end our bad decisions affects us the most. We have to take care of our bodies and make sure we are healthy. For example, if you know you shouldn’t eat or drink something because it can affect your body in a bad way then don’t do it. We also have to take care of our mind and mental health. For example, you shouldn’t stress over the smallest things or don’t stress at all. If you are nervous about a test then you should study days before so it isn’t a lot of pressure the night before a test. Also be careful with what you see and hear it can affect your mental health as well. Finally, you should take care of your spiritual well-being. For example, if you are a happy person don’t let anyone change the way you are. You should be open-minded, but don’t let what others say change you. Don’t let the world around you change who you are, don’t let your spirit change because of how dark and evil the world might be. In the end it is our body, our mind, and our spirit, so you have to take great care of.

At the end you have to register to take the National Council Examination for Practical Nurse. Education requirements may vary depending on the state you are in.
Demand:
Nurses have always been on a high demand and as the population grows so will the demand for nurses in the United states.

Reflection:
I wouldn’t like to be a nurse because I honestly do not like going to the doctor and getting shots. The way I see this is, if I don’t like that then why would I do it to someone else if I know that they won’t like it either. I know how it feels and I wouldn’t like others to go through something i don’t like. I see this as, don’t do stuff to others that you don’t like others doing to you.

“Intelligence is not enough. Intelligence plus character, that is the goal of true education”
-Martin Luther King Jr.
This statement means that you have to have intelligence and be a good person as well. You can’t just be intelligent because that won’t get you as far. For example, when you want to get a job it is very important that you have a great personality especially if your work involves interacting with others. You can’t achieve anything if you only have one of the two. Think about intelligence and your character as you brain and heart. Where the intelligence is your brain and your character is your heart. If you don’t have a good heart then you are nothing, you hardly alive and that is how your feel when you don’t have a great character. Now let’s say that you have a heart, but not a good brain. Without a good brain you can hardly do anything, you won’t be able to even move and that is how you feel and are without intelligence. In other words your body can’t operation the right way when one of the two most important parts don’t function right. These two parts go hand in hand just like intelligence and your character.

Demand:
By 2018 the percent will go up to 30.3%, but the project wanting to work in this field are an even higher percentage. It is a very demanding and hard medical career to get.

Reflection:
I find this medical career very interest and it is mainly because in my family, family members have needed a Kinesiologist more than once. This will be a very interesting career that I will like to learn more about, but it won’t be my career in the future.

“We need the courage to start and continue what we should do, and the courage to stop what we shouldn’t do.”
-Richard L. Evans

This statement means that we should have the strength to do what is right even if it might be hard. For example, in the video we saw many people falling into the train tracks and there were men who went to pick them up even though it can result in them getting hurt. They didn’t know if they were going to make it in time before the train came, but that was a risk they were willing to take in order to save those people’s lives. We also saw how a man helped an old lady from a burning building and he didn’t care if he got burn in the process he just wanted to help. It is weird how we always have the courage to do what is wrong, but when it comes to doing right, we chicken out. We need to have that courage to help others even in the hardest of situations. You feel better when you help someone else out!

School Break Days

Image result for winter break

During Winter Break I actually did many things. Since my aunt came from Mexico to visit us we decided to take her to different places to get to know California. First we went to the snow the day after Christmas and when we had to leave we went to this lake that was next to the mountains to eat. The most eventful week was the last week since it was also the last week my aunt was here. On Monday, we went to Santa Monica because she wanted to go. We saw the sunset and we walked in the prier and after a while we went home. On Tuesday, we went hiking at Griffith Park, it was kind of difficult, but we all enjoyed it. Then after hiking we went to the beach next to the airport to see the airplanes go by. Wednesday was my favorite day because I went to Disneyland after nine years with my cousins and aunt. We spent the entire day there, but we only got on about 10 rides, but we ride two of them twice and one of them three times. We were able to visit both parks and I had never gone to California Adventure, so it was a very amazing experience. Some books that I read were Thirteen Reasons Why and other teen fictions books that I don't remember the name. Some shows that I watched were Girl Meets World, Teen Wolf, Shadowhunters, Beyond, Criminal Minds, Saving Hope, and Blue Bloods.
