The Naturopathic Doctor

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Naturopathic doctor is a health care provider who treats patients with medicine based on nature. They identify, diagnosed, and treat patients for their conditions and illnesses. They also meet and examine patients, perform tests, follow up and monitor patients, discuss treatment options, design treatment plans, and other duties.

Salary: $74,710

Education:
You need at least a 4-year bachelor’s degree, and depending on the state, a master’s certification. In order to get a certification in traditional Naturopathy you should have an advanced or graduate degree that includes significant naturopathy content, according to the American Naturopathic Certification Board. Coursework includes anatomy, histology, naturopathic history and philosophy, nutrition, immunology, and oriental medicine.

Demand:
The demand for this medical career is good, it is thought to grow by 12% from 2014-2024. It isn’t growing by a lot, but compare to other medical career, it’s growing fairly well.

Reflection:
I wouldn’t become a Naturopathic Doctor because I honestly don’t find it interesting. This medical career didn’t catch my attention. The duties that they have to do aren’t something I will like to do in a daily basis. It is important and I hope more people join this career.
